CultureQuestIndia! SIFT 2007

At SIFT, each student was expected to create a powerpoint about a topic related to India.  Members of our group chose to study tourism in India, Indian religion, Indian food, the economy of India and Indian marriage.  These related topics are all a part of the rich culture of the country of India.  Tourism is a part of the Indian economy and Indian marriage is a part of the culture.  Wedding traditions often correspond with religious beliefs and traditional recipes are often governed by religious dietary restrictions.  This project allowed us to learn about many aspects of the Indian culture.  We enjoyed sharing our powerpoints with each other and learning about the food, landmarks and weather, weddings, religions and the economy of India.  To conclude our study of this country, we will travel to an Indian restaurant to enjoy a traditional Indian meal.
